RSC Badminton Academy attached to the Regional Sports Centre, Kadavanthra, Kochi, Kerala India, the premier Indoor Sports Centre in the country, managed with private and public participation. The RSC has over 5000 members, excellent sports facilities including 10 Badminton Courts (to be air conditioned soon), air conditioned health club, 25 meter Indoor Swimming pool, artificial athletic track and synthetic turf for foot ball, hockey etc (soon to be completed), indoor tennis centre, martial arts and yoga training facilities etc.

The centre has excellent accommodation facilities with A/c and Non A/c rooms, separate dormitories for girls and boys, A/c multi cuisine restaurant.

The Academy is situated in the heart of Cochin with 3.5 acres of land, the ancient port city hailed as the Queen of the Arabian Sea and is only 33 kms from the Cochin International Airport.

Around 110 kids are getting trained in Badminton regularly out of which 53 are state and national level players. We have World No. 7. V. Diju (Mixed Doubles) and World No. 15 Sanave Thomas & Rupesh Kumar (Men’s Doubles), National Junior and Senior Silver Medalist and Youth Commonwealth Gold Medalist, Junior world Team championship Bronze Medalist P. C. Thulasi. Jayeepee Grand Pri Gold Bronze Medalist Shanker P.Gopan , Alwin Francis, Megha Merin Ninan as Academy’s Goodwill Ambassadors and half a dozen other international players as our Stars.

Under the leadership of Mr. M. J. Mohanachandran (Mohan sir) RSC Badminton Academy has, Experienced coach Mr T.R..Balachandran who worked with the Badminton legend Prakash Paducone for 13 years before joining the Academy, and there are five expert coaches and former International players working round the year to train and produce World class players. Academy’s” MOTTO” is to “produce International medal winners from scratch”.
